Harvesting eggs is one of RD’s joys. He’s not particularly fond of chickens and would rather snuggle with a cat or puppy, but harvesting eggs is one thing he will not pass up. Ever since he was young, he’d always jumped at the chance of harvesting some eggs.
To get into the poultry area is not easy, though. One has to ensure that he is scrubbed clean to ensure bio-security of the area where the chickens are housed. Bio-security is a set of practices that are exercised when one is entering a “clean” area to avoid spreading disease from the outside.
To get into the areas where the chickens are housed, RD has to take a shower and have his clothes fumigated before he can enter the premises. If, by chance, he has to leave the “clean” area, he has to take a shower and have his clothes fumigated again before he can go in.
Below are pictures of RD harvesting eggs.
